Probably my only “rule” for decor is that, ‘two is a pair, yet three is the start of a fabulous collection.’ Mine evolve constantly and serve as both functional and as ‘object d’art’ with a cheeky nod to either myself or husband’s personality, passions or heritage. Now that my children are older, their input into our collections is incorporated too.
All the below pictures are a collection of perpetual calendars. Some are American and others European, ranging from a primitive/rustic style and Mid Century modern to mash-ups of Art Deco and traditional. These are all working (functional) and are a nod to my background in education.

Primative, MCM and a traditional banker’s calendar co-habitating.

Calendars take all forms – cups/pencil holders, cubes and lucite flash cards.

The above is my absolute favorite! This was a promotional calendar from an Italian shoe company promoting “time to get new shoes”. It is plastic with plastic rings. I had it mounted and framed. Now it’s both protected and getting the respect it deserves as true art.
